A fire door only performs as part of a complete doorset — the leaf, the frame, the intumescent seals and the ironmongery are tested and rated together. Fitting a fire-rated leaf into an unsuitable frame can compromise its performance, so the frame should match the door's rating and be installed with the correct seals and fixings.
Yes. A fire door is certified and rated as a complete doorset — leaf, frame, intumescent seals and ironmongery together. Using a frame that is not suitable for the door's rating can invalidate its fire performance.
Frames are available in hardwood and softwood to suit FD30 and FD60 leaves. The product pages list the species, section sizes and ratings for each frame.
Yes — many are available made to measure so the leaf is manufactured to your exact opening. A fire door should not be over-trimmed on site, as cutting beyond the manufacturer's tolerance can invalidate its fire rating, so made-to-measure is the safest option for non-standard openings. Stock sizes are also available where they fit.
Yes — we deliver to mainland UK addresses. Standard lead time is 2–3 weeks from order confirmation. Delivery to Scotland, the Highlands & Islands or other remote areas may carry a higher charge, which we confirm on your quote.
Yes — we offer nationwide installation by FIRAS and BM TRADA certified fitters. Correct installation matters: a fire door only achieves its rating when hung as a complete doorset with the right seals and ironmongery.
